As you might know, the World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, has now been released and the battle to level 80 has begun, well, for some people that is.
I ordered my Wrath of the Lich King from Game.co.uk about a month ago and knowing Game, I received my game the day before it came out, which is rather awesome as it allows me to install the game and play it as soon as the servers open up at midnight.
But for some other people that have pre-ordered the game, this hasn’t happened. Several people I know ordered their games from Play.com, and did not receive them a day before, or even on the day of the release, they are still waiting for them. Now obviously this isn’t all to do with Play.com, it also depends on the delivery service aswell; but I don’t think it’s on that you pre-order a game and don’t even get it the day it’s released. You pre-order a game to ensure that you get your copy and don’t have to wait a few days after the game is released to get your game.
Play.com recently won a Golden Joystick award for the best game retailer, but is alot of people have not yet received their World of Warcraft game, they will have alot of unhappy customers and some that will just go elsewhere.
