Nordic Games have announced today that they will be joining the music game battle by introducing the first singing game to allow up to 4 players to sing all at the same time. The new game is called We Sing and it will be hitting the shelves some time around the end of October / start of November, allowing your family to sing their hearts out on Christmas Day.
Nordic Games have made agreements with record labels such as EMI, Warner, Univeral Music as well as a huge number of independent record labels. With such a wide range of labels open to them, We Sing can provide gamers with such a diverse list of songs to play.
When the game is released, it will come with a range of 30 songs from some of the biggest artists in the world. Some of the original 30 songs include:
This latest singing based game has been specially designed by Nordic Games exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. This means that Wii gamers will finally have their very own singing game to belt their hearts out to. Previously they have not had a big singing game title. Other popular singing titles have been exclusive to the other current generation consoles, for example, Singstar which is exclusive to Playstation, and Lips which is exclusive to the Xbox 360.
Unlike the other singing games, We Sing has been designed for group play, with the ability to play with anything from 1 to 4 players using the special Logitech microphone.
Pelle Lundborg from Nordic Games had this to say about the game announcement: “Singing games are enjoyed the most when played in groups, and this has been a major focus of development since day one. The name says it all. It is about friends and family having fun and singing together, and the use of four microphones adds a new perspective.”
More information about the game is expected within the next few weeks.

I can see this being very popular over the christmas period. And I think the whole family will enjoy singing along to Delilah. In fact I can’t stop singing it now!
Oh gosh I hope my mates don’t get this. Can you imagine the drunked Kareoke that will occur in hundreds of homes this Christmas?
I never cease to amaze myself about these developments. It is certainly a very good musical game to enjoy at home with family or friends
It will be interesting to see how they handle new song purchases. With the PS2 you always had to buy a new disc, but with the Xbox and the PS3 you can download songs individually over the Internet.
Nintendo could use their shopping channel and Nintendo points to sell new songs. I don’t know why they haven’t done this yet.
well its about time somebody tries to tackle rock band. i wonder what wii sing is going to be doing to help themselves stand out??!?
