Set 500 years after the events in the original Fable, Fable 2 comes with a whole new range of features and an improved way that you choose what will happen during your game.
The first new feature and choice than you come across is the ability to choose whether your hero is to be a girl or boy, this is just the first of the many choices you will get to take throughout the game. Some other new features include having your own pet dog, being able to get married, have a child, and the ability to buy every property allowing you to make a huge property empire (which is one of the Xbox Live achievements).
In this game, not only can you fully customise your character by changing cloths, hair and weight, you are able to explore the vast world even more than in the original Fable, allowing you to discover chests, dungeons, caves and villages with ease and at your leisure.
All these new features and expanded world makes Fable 2 a brilliant game, you may be thinking, this all sounds great but almost every game has it’s downsides, well, this game, doesn’t really, the only one thing that could be questioned could be the three button combat because it can sometimes turn into a frenzy of single button smashing, but really, if the combat was any more complex, it would be too complex. As you have a gun/crossbow, sword/mace/hammer and spells all at your hands, there are simply not enough buttons on the controller to make the combat a little more interesting.
The final thing to say about Fable 2 and the final choice you take, is how you want to complete the game, you get 3 different choices, each one affecting how the game continues after your choice, a truly great way to end a game.
Overall, Fable 2 is a masterpiece of gaming and you can clearly see that alot of time and effort has gone into making this game, a must play for any RPG/adventure game lovers. 9/10
