We all know that video games can be expensive, at around £40 a pop they will soon make a dent in your bank balance. So when you buy a game and realise that it wasn’t what you thought it was going to be, it can really be a pain, so it’s always good to try a game before you hand over the cash. And right now there are some great demos available for some great games, so here’s just a few that you can get your hands on by heading over to the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. In this demo you play as Riddick while using stealth and action to fight your way through the Dark Athena, a mercenary ship. This game is the second game in The Chronicles of Riddick series and features the voice of Vin Diesel, the star of the Riddick films.
Tom Clancy’s HAWX. This is the latest game from Tom Clancy and this time instead of being on the ground, you are up in the sky providing vital air support for your buddies below. The demo features 2 missions that you can play, and as for the game itself, it has amazing graphics and a huge range of planes that you can fly. The game also features different flight difficulty modes for the hard core flyers.
The Wheelman. Another Vin Diesel film based game here. You have to save a women from a nasty looking gang war through the streets of Barcelona as Vin Diesel’s character Milo. It sounds like a pretty good racing game, hopefully we can just be let loose around the streets and see what havoc can be caused.
Wanted: Weapons of Fate. Wow it seems like it movie game season and this one is all about crazy skill with a bullet. It’s all about the events that take place after the film Wanted, which stars Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy, however me not seeing the film means I have no idea what those events would involve. But, you can be sure of this, it will involve a hell of alot of shooting, curving bullets and flying through the air, all good fun.
These look like some pretty awesome demo, shame they take a while to download and hopefully there will be enough space on the hard drive. Remember, if you fancy grabbing any of these, head over to the Xbox Live Marketplace.
