Yesterday’s E3 look at The Beatles: Rock Band during the Microsoft conference sparked the release of an image of the new drum kit that is going to be released with the Rock Band game.
The kit was announced to have a pearl finish and a Ludwig branded Beatles drum head which you can see in the picture below.
Unfortunately it was note what I had expected, I was hoping that they would look slightly more like real drums because they said about the pearl finish. In this picture it’s also unclear as to whether the kit comes with a metal pedal or the power sensitive pads like in the Rock Band 2 kit.
From the view that we get of the back, it does look like there are ports for the Rock Band 2 cymbol accessories allowing you to customise and expand your drum kit. This would suggest that the metal pedal and power sensitive pads would be featured in this kit.
Currently this kit is only available when you buy the limited edition version of The Beatles: Rock Band where you get the drums, mic, mic stand and the Hofner bass guitar.
Maybe not quite a real drum kit look-a-like, but these would go so well with the Beatles Guitars, consider them bought!
Oh, and also I think if they were in the form of real drums they’d probably take up a little too much space unfortunately.
