The movie is titled Assassin’s Creed 2: Lineage and it follows the events that take place before the story of Assassin’s Creed 2. You follow the life of Assassin Giovanni Auditore, the father of Ezio, the character you play as in Assassin’s Creed 2. Ubisoft, creators of the popular Splinter Cell series, have announced today that they will be delaying the release of Splinter Cell: Conviction, along with a number of other games, until the beginning of 2010. Along with the latest Splinter Cell game, they are also delaying Red Steel 2, now both are planned for an early 2010 release. Also, they are delaying I Am Alive and the next Ghost Recon game, however, these games are pushed back even further with possible release dates expected to be around 2011. A new study has been published by the magazine, Game Developer. The study looked at the best and most successful game developers of 2009. The rankings they came to were based on the Metacritic score aswell as the retail performance in Japan, UK and the US. Ubisoft released their full year financial results today and boast a healthy 14% rise in sales. The gaming giant released revenues for the fourth quarter of 2008-2009 of €206 million which is just over 5% under the fourth quarter of 2007-2008. This aside, they also announced their full yearly revenues for 2008-2009 which reached a whopping €1,058 million which is an increase of 14% on last years revenues of €928. Ubisoft said that this was largely down to an increase of sales from the Wii, as well as strong sales from games like Tom Clancy’s HAWX.
