The fastest hedgehog in the world raced onto the Sega Mega Drive in 1991 and it instantly became a massive hit. Now, 18 years on and still a big hit, Sonic The Hedgehog is celebrating his 18th birthday (I doubt he’ll celebrate by going down the pub to get smashed). Since his release in 1991, Sonic has become well known all around the world for his attitude and his face paced gameplay. This has lead him to rack up over 50 million game sales. Video Game Review: Sonic Unleashed

As you may know, I said in a recent post that I had bought the latest Sonic game, Sonic Unleashed, and here is my take on the game. Every game has it’s good points and bad points, so lets start with the good. This Sonic game has to be the best one yet, with the ability to play as normal Sonic and then the werewolf Sonic, it’s like playing 2 different games. While playing as normal Sonic you have to battle your way through the fast paced missions just like the original Sonic games, but once the night comes, you transform into a werewolf and your whole mission style changes.
