The world’s thinnest TV goes on sale this week, the Sony Bravia ZX1. At only 9.9mm thick, this is the thinnest TV for sale in the world. The secret to bread thick TV is a new technology which Sony call, Edge LED. Instead of using a back light that is placed behind the screen, like current LCD TVs, Edge LED uses LED lights around the sides of the TV, saving alot of space. It gets better, the TV comes with a separate media receiver which connects to all of your HD devices including Blu-Ray Players and Playstation 3′s, it then sends the signals through to the TV, allowing you to get crystal clear films, games and TV without the wires….
