If you have read some of my previous posts within the past year, you may have noticed that I am a big fan of the music games, in particular Rock Band. I have always found Rock Band to be a personal favorite over the likes of Guitar Hero: World Tour. However, what they have in game quality, is not matched in peripherals. After some slight stock problems, I finally received my Rock Band 2 yesterday from Game. This means I can now compare Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour. Lets start off with Guitar Hero. Like I said in my previous post, the customisation in the game is brilliant, you can customise everything from hair colour to mic stand. A very good point I found in Guitar Hero that’s not in Rock Band is the ability to pause the game during a long note, and as you go back into the game, it does a countdown and that allows you to continue playing that note without cutting the note short because you paused it, you’ll see what I mean, but…
With the rather dull summer almost coming to an end, and the rather dull autumn coming up, it’s nice to have something to look forward to during autumn/winter, and there is certainly a lot to look forward to. The first game being, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, admittedly, the middle of September isn’t winter, but it’s just a starter. The second is the brilliant LEGO Batman: The Video Game. I am personally, a great fan of the Lego Xbox games, they always provide me with a laugh or too, although I don’t buy them as they can be completed within one Blockbuster rental.
