I have always found that renting games is one of the best ways to play the most recent games. It’s good for a number of reasons, whether you are a little bit strapped for cash at the time of release, or maybe you are just unsure about the game. Even if it’s neither of those reasons, renting is still a good option, my example would be with the Lego games, despite being really great games, they are short, and with no multiplayer, I find myself completing them in a number of days. So I would much rather pay £5 to rent it than have to pay £40 and have it sitting on the shelf. This aside, renting games isn’t perfect…
After a 6 day countdown on the Lionhead Studios website, which featured 6 famous rulers from the past, the news that they were leading up to has now been announced at GamesCon. Peter Molyneux announced today during the Microsoft conference that Fable 3 will be released sometime in 2010, however, “don’t expect it too early in 2010.” The new game is set 50 years after the events that take place in Fable 2 and you play as your character from Fable 2′s child, either a son or a daughter, in classic Fable style, you can decide which. Once you have chosen your sex, your journey then begins to become the ruler of all Albion, that’s right, you can become the…
Something strange has been going on over at the Lionhead website this week. I first came across it after a message was posted on Twitter with simply a link to the Lionhead website. On visiting the Lionhead website, I was greeted by a big black and white picture of Che Guevara and a very large number 6 next to his head. Underneath the image, was a quote from the guy himself, followed by a thumbs up and a thumbs down. When you click on the thumbs up, it takes you to the main Lionhead page with the word “Followers” within the URL string. Once again your are greeted with the large image of Che, the page also has a red…
Some brand new content for the brilliant Fable 2 game has been released onto the Xbox Live Marketplace. The new content is titled “See the Future” and it is the second content pack that has come to Xbox Live. In this new pack you are given the task on lifting curses that have been placed onto three mysterious items which will allow you to bring peace and harmony back to the world of Albion. That’s not all though, if you thought that the Crucible was easy, you now have to face a new challenge called the Coliseum which according to Xbox Live will make the Crucible “Look like a walk in the park”. Aswell as all that stuff, there are…
As soon as my Xbox Live account had been unlocked yesterday, I went straight onto the marketplace and bought the new downloadable content for Fable 2, so here’s my view on it. Before I say anything about it, I have to say, I think Fable 2 really did need new content, don’t get me wrong, it’s a great game, but the length of it and the lack of online multiplayer really doesn’t give the game any reason to carry on playing it. However, with the new content, it now does. To start your new adventure, you begin by speaking to Gordon the boatman, in Bowerstone Market, who kindly gives you a ride in his submarine, also, he gives you one…
