Rock Band 2 European Release Date?

It seems that Rock Band have sort of announced a release date for their upcoming game Rock Band 2.

Rock Band has recently released a trailer for the new game featuring the song Let There Be Rock by AC/DC. At the end of the video it states “Available 9/14″ so after changing that to the English date format, they are saying Rock Band 2 is to be released on the 14th November.

Which in one way is a surprise as I expected the game to come out in March 2009, but on the other hand, not much of a surprise as Guitar Hero is releasing their new game Guitar Hero World Tour on the 11th November which features all new instruments like Rock Band. So Rock Band is obviously tyring to beat Guitar Hero in sales and by releasing early November, it gives enough time for the Christmas market aswell.

So I’m keeping my hopes up that it will be released on the date said, although, if it is, I shall have my work cut out, with the releases of Far Cry 2 and Fable 2 on October 24th, then Gears of War 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour being released on November 11th and then World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King on November 13th. Such a busy time for games, great!
