It seems that this week Microsoft and Sony are trying to try and impress everyone with their sales figures. Yesterday on Eurogamer.net it was posted that Microsoft had said that they have sold more Xbox 360′s than PlayStation 3′s in all regions of Europe, even in places like Spain and France which are meant to be loyal to PlayStation. They also said that since their price cuts in September, Microsoft have recorded a 124% rise in sales since this time last year whereas PlayStation 3 have only increase by 3%. Now when you read this you think that Microsoft is doing some good sales. But then when you turn to the Game.co.uk website, it’s a different picture. On the Game…
Well, after lots of people saying that the latest game by Valve, Left 4 Dead, was brilliant so I finally got round to downloading the demo. So; I logged onto Xbox Live, into the game marketplace, and after a long search, I couldn’t find it. Have they removed the Left 4 Dead demo? I also tried to download it via Steam but this was also unsuccessful. After some search on the web someone linked to the Xbox website where you could download it, but it took me to a message saying “This offer is not valid in your region.”. Can anyone tell me, has the demo been removed? And if it has, it seems like a strange thing to do,…
Now, this question is a difficult one, which is the best game of 2008? With the new year coming closer, I thought I would ask this question. There have been so many brilliant games out this year, including: Gears of War 2 – This amazing sequel to the original gear was absolutely amazing and the story just seems to get deeper and deeper as you go through, Call of Duty: World at War – This game is pretty good, I don’t feel it was as good as CoD4, but still deserves to be one of the best game, Fable 2 – Fable 2 was not as good as I expected, It was brilliant, and such an improvement on the first,…
EA has announced that Skate 2 is behind released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on January 23rd. In this game, we will be able to discover the new city, New San Vanelona after it is recovering from a disaster, not sure what the disaster is as of yet. However, you will not just be able to discover the city on your board, but off it aswell. You can now get off your board and get a closer view on the new city. I personally loved the original Skate game, mainly because of the way you controlled it, it was no other skating games. When I got my Xbox 360 I went out and bought Tony Hawks Proving Ground, I…
After some slight stock problems, I finally received my Rock Band 2 yesterday from Game. This means I can now compare Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour. Lets start off with Guitar Hero. Like I said in my previous post, the customisation in the game is brilliant, you can customise everything from hair colour to mic stand. A very good point I found in Guitar Hero that’s not in Rock Band is the ability to pause the game during a long note, and as you go back into the game, it does a countdown and that allows you to continue playing that note without cutting the note short because you paused it, you’ll see what I mean, but…
