I Have Returned…

Written by Scrooby on 31st December, 2008

And so I’m back, from outer space…. well, not quite outer space, although it would be faster to get to. I have returned from my Christmas holiday in the sunny Australia. I must say, Australia is a fantastic country, and Sydney is a great city. That’s where I started my holiday, in Sydney, mainly for sight seeing and shopping really, and there’s lots of both. I visited the Sydney Opera House, fortunately, I didn’t see an Opera. I also climbed up the Sydney Harbour Bridge, legally of course. You get strapped on with what is basically a ball and chain in a jump suit, and then you have to start the rather long journey up several ladders and many many…

Full Game Downloads Coming To Xbox 360?

Written by Scrooby on 19th December, 2008

Within an interview with Gamesindustry.biz, Peter Molyneux, maker of Fable, hinted that Xbox owners could soon see full game downloads coming to Xbox Live. During the interview, he said “I think it would be a great thing for this studio to work on. I can’t say anything else of it – I would be killed to death”. At the moment, you can download some games from Xbox Live and the Playstation Network, however, the games available are limited to older titles and ones that take up less hard drive space. Although some gamers may think that the idea of not having to leave your home to get your games is like a dream, the reality of the whole thing will…

Need For Speed: Undercover Game Review

Written by Scrooby on 16th December, 2008

The latest ‘Need For Speed’ has got some poor reviews recently, but I don’t see the problem with the game. I got the game a few days ago, and have been playing it since, it’s great! With the awesome ‘Most Wanted’ title and then the poor ‘ProStreet’ game which was only good for about a day, the ‘Need For Speed’ title needed a pickup. And I think that this new ‘Need For Speed’ title is that lift. The game throws you into the action rather suddenly, the opening movie chase scene cuts you into the action part way through, so make sure you’re not drinking like I was. Overall, the game is alot like ‘Need For Speed: Most Wanted’ with…

Which Console To Buy This Christmas

Written by Scrooby on 13th December, 2008

With Christmas just round the corner, many children will be asking for a new games console this year. But which one is the best value for money and the best to buy? With the 3 main next generation consoles, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii, all competing against each other, which one is the best to get? I’ll start with the Xbox 360. After a price reduction, the Xbox 360 now costs £130, making it the cheapest console of the 3 next gens. But, for the £130 you only get the arcade system which does not comes with a hard drive, so, what about the console bundles. As for the arcade system, you can get 3 games and 2…

Prince Of Persia Review

Written by Matteo89 on 7th December, 2008

When I first heard that there was a new Prince of Persia on the way I was excited after being a huge fan of the original Prince of Persia trilogy. I wanted to see what the next gen one would be like and i am sorry to say but I am extremely disappointed. That doesn’t mean that this is a bad game its actually an alright game. The new story is not that complex; you are fighting to keep the god of darkness banished. To do this you travel around the world banishing the darkness one section at a time. By the end of the game it gets very repetitive and boring. You also feel no real connection to the characters in this game. Now to the good part, the game-play. The acrobatics in this game…
