Microsoft have announced today, via Major Nelson, that the prices for the Xbox Live service will be going up on 1st November 2010.
Since gaming has been pretty bleak this summer, I think it's time to look ahead to what games to watch out for on the run up to Christmas 2010.
Being named by the developers as "the end", CodeMasters look to end their rally triology with a massive, and muddy, bang with DiRT 3

The demo for the upcoming EA game, Mirror’s Edge, has been released on the Playstation Network and the Xbox Live Marketplace. I was unsure if I would buy this one but after playing the demo, I definitely will, from what I have seen so far, it’s a good game, great graphics and it’s something different to add to the shelf, not just a usual FPS game. The release date for Mirror’s Edge is November 14th, so get your pre-order in soon, also, if you pre-order from Game, you get a free T-Shirt.

EA has announced that the Rock Band 2 software is being released on November 21st in the UK, exclusively to Xbox 360 for a period of time, and the standalone instruments will be available “beginning of December”. Slightly odd I thought that they are releasing the instruments a month after the software, although the current Rock Band instruments should work with this new game. The reason for having these dates separate could be to compete against it’s rival, Guitar Hero World Tour, which is also scheduled for release mid-November, so even if the Rock Band’s instruments are not yet ready for shipment, they can get the software out there to tempt people away from Activision’s Guitar Hero World Tour. So,…
Set 500 years after the events in the original Fable, Fable 2 comes with a whole new range of features and an improved way that you choose what will happen during your game. The first new feature and choice than you come across is the ability to choose whether your hero is to be a girl or boy, this is just the first of the many choices you will get to take throughout the game. Some other new features include having your own pet dog, being able to get married, have a child, and the ability to buy every property allowing you to make a huge property empire (which is one of the Xbox Live achievements). In this game, not…
It seems that the recent buyout of HBOS by Lloyds TSB has started to have some affect on the workers at Halifax, part of the HBOS Group. One person that it’s hit the hardest is Howard Brown, the bloke that sings and dances on a surf board in the Halifax adverts, it seems that he has resorted to binge eating due to the current financial difficulties. However, it’s not all doom and gloom, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and for Howard, there’s always weight watchers. For all of you Halifax savers clutching your heart thinking what’s wrong with poor Howard, it’s not really Howard Brown, the man pictured on the right, which looks alot like…
