A demo for the much anticipated Halo Wars game is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo is free of charge and allows you to experience the game before release and should help you to decide whether to pre-order the game or not. Halo Wars, built specially for the Xbox 360 by the makers of ‘Age of Empires’, lets you command armies of the UNSC and the Covenant in huge battles within the Halo universe which took place 20 years before the events of Halo 1. Hopefully the demo won’t take long to download, 1.4GB, then I can give it a whirl, hoping for the best considering I have already pre-ordered. Watch out on the marketplace…

As many people already know, the final sets of downloadable maps for Halo 3 are being released soon. The pack is called the Mythic Map Pack and contains 3 maps called: ‘Sandbox’, ‘Orbital’ and ‘Assembly’. Just the names alone don’t really get you excited, but here’s some quotes from Bungie about the new maps and what to expect. With the upcoming releases of the new Grand Theft Auto 4 downloadable content, released on February 17th, and the upcoming release of the newest game in the Halo series, Halo Wars. Xbox are releasing some new Xbox 360 accessories just for these upcoming releases. The first one is a special Xbox Live GTA 4 Lost and the Damned 1600 Points card. If you just can’t get enough of the New Dairy Milk Advert, which features 2 school kids doing some freaky moves with their eyebrows to music. Well, you can get the backing track to this ad. The song used is called “Don’t Stop The Rock” by Freestyle. This track is available from Amazon, or if you are an Orange customer, you can download this track onto your mobile phone for free!
