This is where additional content comes in, many games these days are releasing new content for you to buy and download from the various console networks. Here are just a few to be aware of it you are continuously looking at your games looking for something new. WoW April Fool: P1mp My Mount

Written by Scrooby on 2nd April, 2009

A rather good April Fools Day trick appeared on the World of Warcraft site yesterday, they advertised a new feature that would be coming to World of Warcraft in the next patch content. It’s called “P1mp My Mount!” and it allows you to change the colour, armour and add some wacky decorations to your WoW mount. Unfortunately it’s a good April Fool, shame they don’t really bring it in, would be a really awesome feature. Check out the full story at the World of Warcraft website.

Rock Band Goes Over the $1 Billion Mark

Written by Scrooby on 30th March, 2009

The amazing game that is Rock Band has proved to be a huge success in the US. After just 15 months on the shelves it has raked in a whopping $1 billion retail sales, and that’s not counting downloads. Rock Band is my personal favorite music game on the Xbox 360 and it comes as no real surprise that it has become such a huge hit. I personally think it’s the best because of the song list that comes with the game itself plus the huge array of songs available for download means you will never get board of the same songs, because there are so many of them. With over 600 songs available from the online music store and…

Written by Scrooby on 26th March, 2009

It’s all happening at the GDC at the moment. A trailer for the much anticipated upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 game was shown and it included a release date. Although the trailer wasn’t much and not a huge amount was seen, it was still interesting, shame they didn’t give us something more but obviously this way will just keep people wanting more. To view the entire trailer, visit the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 website. At the end of the video a release date is shown, 11.10.09, that is pretty close when you think about it and hopefully it won’t change a great deal.

OnLive Announced at GDC

Written by Scrooby on 25th March, 2009

A new type of gaming has been announced at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). The OnLive service is a new type of gaming service which allows you to play your favorite games over the internet, saving you the shelf and hard drive space. To play these games you simply need one of two things, either a browser plug-in or a cheap device called the MicroConsole to allow you to stream these games over your internet from the OnLive servers. This seems to be a really good idea, but when you think about it, the amount of downfalls, in my opinion, are not really worth it. At the GDC people had the chance to try out this new service in a…
