Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena Game Review

Written by Scrooby on 30th April, 2009

This is part 2 of the Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena review because I posted previously about the remastered original game that comes as a freebie with the new game. Just like Butcher Bay, Assault on Dark Athena begins with a strange sort of level which is basically a training level but it doesn’t say it is, you simply wake up in some sort of sleep freezer once you reach a certain checkpoint, basically the same as Butcher Bay. Once past this little training level, you soon get straight into the action and have to sneak around The Athena ship to discover who you are up against and what’s happening on the ship, and this really isn’t as…

Rock Band Broken Bass Pedal

Written by Scrooby on 29th April, 2009

It happened, my Rock Band pass drum pedal snapped, which is just a little bit of a pain. It’s mainly a pain because I bought it from Zavvi and since coming out of administration, the amount of stores they have is slightly lacking, especially in the area I live, not even sure they would give me a replacement, but I might as well try. If getting a replacement from Zavvi doesn’t work, looks like I will have to buy a new one from one of the various Rock Band bass pedal makers. There are some great replacement bass drum pedals out there that work for all of the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games, plus they are made of metal,…

Written by Scrooby on 29th April, 2009

Ubisoft released their full year financial results today and boast a healthy 14% rise in sales. The gaming giant released revenues for the fourth quarter of 2008-2009 of €206 million which is just over 5% under the fourth quarter of 2007-2008. This aside, they also announced their full yearly revenues for 2008-2009 which reached a whopping €1,058 million which is an increase of 14% on last years revenues of €928. Ubisoft said that this was largely down to an increase of sales from the Wii, as well as strong sales from games like Tom Clancy’s HAWX. That’s not all though, Ubisoft also gave some projected sales for the financial year to come, they predict that their total years revenues could…
