Doritos LogoEveryone’s favourite triangle crisps, Doritos, have released a brand new flavour, unfortunately, I can’t actually tell you what flavour that is because it’s a mystery flavour. It’s called the iD3 flavour currently, whether that will change once the flavour is guessed, but Doritos have created a whole new competition and game based around this new mystery flavour.

With each pack of the iD3 flavour you buy, you get a special code which gives you 6 lives, this is where the game part comes into it. They have created an online game where you enter this code, which grants you the 6 lives, and you can guess at the mystery flavour.

If you guess the mystery flavour correctly, then you will be entered into a prize draw to win a massive £20,000, not bad for just eating some crisps and having good taste buds. But that’s not all.

As I mentioned, with the code, you get 6 lives in their online game. To enter your code you have to start playing the game until you are asked to enter the code have a guess at the mystery flavour. After you have done this, you can continue through the game which consists of a series of videos about a crime that’s been committed by a group of identity thieves. Along your journey you are given options of what to do, if you pick the wrong option, you lose a life, bet you were wondering where the lives came into it. Also, along your journey there will be chances to win over 300 prizes that include O2 gig tickets, Sony Ericsson phones, Xbox 360′s and even some Samsung laptops, all pretty good for simply buying a bag of crisps.

Doritos iD3 PackObviously once you lose all your six lives, you lose the game, however, you can enter a new code from a Doritos iD3 pack to gain another 6 lives and continue the game.

The game itself is split up into 3 different episodes which are being released at separate dates. The first episode began a few days ago, the second episode will be released on August 11th and then the final episode on August 25th.

The reason I’m writing about this is because for 1, they are offering some awesome prizes, and 2, because I have some free codes to give away. I have received 10 codes from Doritos that will grant you access to the game, although you are unable to win anything with these free codes, they allow you to try the game and see how good it actually is.

If you want to get your hands on one of these codes, all you have to do is email me at: scroobyonline@gmail.com and I will happily give you a free code. I’ve only got 10 available so once they’re gone, they’re gone. So good luck with your guess at the new mystery flavour.

  2. haha! I just bought a pack a few hours ago at Spar :)

Nice that us Brit’s are having one of these campaigns instead of the States getting them all! The crisps are pretty nice, reminding me of Spicy Curry Pot Noodles… so I am going to take my guesses down that route (maybe “chip shop curry”?)

I just wonder how they handle the flood of correct guesses they get when the ‘mystery’ flavour goes public?

  4. I found the new flavour hot and spicy and to the standard of your crips .

I thought the new flavour was curry with chilli beef.
