A nice amount of downloadable content is coming to the Xbox 360 Marketplace in the next few weeks.
The first one is the new content for the very popular Left 4 Dead game. The new pack is called the ‘Survival Pack’ and the kind guys at Valve have announced that this pack will be free, how good of them. If you don’t yet know, this pack includes a new multiplayer mode called Survival and allows you to play through the ‘Death Toll’ and ‘Dead Air’ campaigns in versus mode. This pack is available on PC via Steam and on Xbox 360 via the marketplace on April 21st.
The next bundle of goodies is the Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack. Currently this pack is only available for people who bought the collectors edition Halo Wars game (really wishing I had bought that now). But for everyone else that didn’t buy that, the pack will be available for 800 Microsoft Points on the 360 Marketplace on April 9th.
The final one is a new pack for Gears of War 2. As of March 31st you will be able to pick up the new ‘Snowblind’ map pack from the marketplace for the same price as the Halo 3 pack, 800 points. If you haven’t yet played Gears of War 2, I would highly recommend that you do, it is one of the best games available on the Xbox 360, plus it’s exclusive to the console.
So, you better pencil those dates into the diary and get the points ready as all of these will be great fun to play! Also, if you’re planning on buying the Halo 3 maps, remember to look out for those skulls hidden around the maps to get some extra gamerscore.
