As I posted recently, I have had the purchasing section of my Xbox Live Account locked because my details were different to the ones on the credit card. So after I had found out about the error online, I changed my details to the correct ones, and then I called them, and after giving all my details, they told me to check my details were correct, which I knew they were, so I humoured them and checked them, and they were correct. Calling them again, they told me someone would phone back in 2 days, which they did.
While on the phone for the third time, they basically said that all the details, even the first name must be the same on the account, the credit card details, and even the hotmail account linked to the account. So after changing the details once again, which I found to be very stupid. They said that a supervisor would unlock my account in 3 days. One day went by, then the second, then the third. So, called them once again, and this time, they were useless, they said that they could do nothing but escalate it, so I asked to be put through to a supervisor, and after a 40 minute wait, I gave up.
A couple of days later, still account locked, I called them again to find out what sort of time period I could be looking at. And again, they were useless, they said that all they could do is escalate the problem, which it already was, so I asked to be put through to a supervisor. Once getting through, he told me that the account is going to be dealed with, but he couldn’t tell me how long It would take and when I asked to be put through to the department that was dealing with it, they said they didn’t have phone lines to that department, odd.
So, currently, I have no idea when my account is going to be unlocked, it could be days, weeks, or months. But, my Xbox Live subscription ends in Febuary, so we’ll see what happens if I can’t upgrade my account to gold if my account is still locked.
