I know Zavvi went into administration recently after christmas, but some time after, they somehow got back on their feet and are continueing to sell products, although I haven’t actually seen a Zavvi store recently.
Well, for some reason I’m on the Zavvi mailing list, although the only thing I ever bought from them was in store, but anyway, I got this email said I get £3 off if I spend £30. But the thing this post is about is because in the email there was this image:
It made me wonder whether Zavvi had changed their marketing campaign and put women in lingerie on their emails to grab mens attention, but it appears not. After visiting their website, it seems that they are trying to break into a new market, the perfume, lingerie and sports market, you know, makes sense, you want to buy a CD or DVD, might aswell get some lingerie for a loved one.
It makes you wonder, I would imagine they are not in a very stable position considering they just recovered from going into administration, so you’d think they would just stick with their current market. As for the stores, I would imagine that they look like a mix between HMV and Marks & Spencer.

I find it funny how the article said if your gonna buy a cd or dvd you might as well buy lingerie for someone haha. 5 stars for that one.
