2 news Lego games have been announced by Warner Bros. and TT games, creators of the original Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman games. The 2 new games are Lego Harry Potter: 1-4 and Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventures Continue.
The rumours about these two games started about 2 months ago when an employee at TT games wrote in their CV that they were working on these 2 games. These rumours were then confirmed by Warner Bros. later that month and now this news has been released coming up to E3.
The first one I’ll talk about is Lego Harry Potter: 1-4 which follows the adventures that take place in the first 4 years of the Harry Potter books. You will be able to follow Harry and his friends including Ron and Hermione aswell as a whole bunch of other characters.
Warner Bros. also said that players will be able to take part in classes and be part of several witchcraft activities including mixing potions, casting spells and riding brooms.
Here is a trailer that has been released for the Harry Potter game that was released at the same time as the announcement.
The release date of this game is planned for sometime in 2010 and it hasn’t been confirmed what consoles the game will be available on, no doubt the same as the original games. Although this release date may seem a long way away, the Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventures Continue to due for this coming autumn.
The Lego Indiana 2 game is going to be available on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, DS and PSP and where the first Indiana game focused on the first three Indiana Jones films, this one will focus on the events that happens throughout all four games, one being the latest film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
In this new Lego game, not only will you be able to play the classic Lego game fun, but there are also a whole new bunch of features that include being able to create your own levels, expand current levels and then share them with your buddies.
Remember, the Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventures Continue game is due for release this autumn to keep an eye open on the big retailers for when you can begin pre-ordering.
