Halo 3 Recon Announced

In a previous post called “What’s Coming to Halo 3?” I talked about the latest releases to Halo 3 and that there may be something else coming. Well here it is.
Halo 3 Recon. The game will be a seperate DVD release and takes place before the events in Halo 3. The game features a new campaign with a brand new hero.
With this new game you play as a special forces Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, and because these forces are less technological, the player will require more stealth and thought than the usual run in guns blazing Halo game.
Not only does this new game come with a new campaign and new hero, it also comes with new multiplayer map, plus all the current features in Halo 3 like saved films, the forge and multiplayer campaign.
The game is set to be released Fall 2009, so there is some wait for this game, but, by looking at the latest achievements for Halo 3, Bungie will be releasing some new maps for Halo 3 to keep us gamers amused until Fall 2009.
The trailer released on the Bungie website can be found here, this is an expanded version to the “Keep it Clean” trailer they released a couple of weeks ago.
Note: This game is no longer called Halo 3: Recon, it has been re-named to Halo 3: ODST
