Back in May there were some rumours going around that Rockstar Games was in the process of creating a second expansion pack for Grand Theft Auto 4 and this new pack would follow a new character with Irish gangster roots. However, these rumours were put to rest when Rockstar Games announced The Ballad of Gay Tony expansion pack.
Rockstar Games have now announced that this latest expansion will be released on October 29th. The game will be available via 2 methods, the first one is the basic download from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1600 Microsoft Points, the same price as the first expansion. The second method is by disc, Rockstar Games are bundling both the first and second expansions into one disc called Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City, which will retail at £35.99. The strange thing about this disc is that it doesn’t require the original game to play which means that if you’ve never played GTA 4, you can just pick up the expansions and play, obviously good for people that want to do that, but it seems a little strange.
This new expansion pack will be more classy than The Lost and the Damned because rather than following a bunch of bikers, this new pack will follow a glamorous night club owner, Anthony “Gay Tony” Prince. We’ll just have to wait and see what dodgy dealings “Gay Tony” will get up to.
Remember, just like the original expansion, The Ballad of Gay Tony will also be exclusive to the Xbox 360.
