Being named by the developers as “the end”, CodeMasters look to end their rally trilogy with a massive, and muddy, bang with the release of Dirt 3 in 2011. Just this week a brand new trailer was released for the game which shows off the wide range of areas and weather conditions gamers will be able to race around in the new year.
The original Dirt game, which was released back in the summer of 2007, was targeted at more classic rally. However, many Dirt fans were disappointed with the second game in the franchise as the game was based largely around the X-Games and Monster Energy drink. In a hope to please all audiences, Dirt 3 will try and give gamers the best of both worlds by featuring a wide range of modes and cars.
Gamers will be able to choose from a massive selection of cars both, modern racers and classics all the way from the 70′s, including the Lancia Stratos. You’ll be able to do all this while driving through the improved environments where you’ll have to navigate your way through deserts, snow and even the pitch black of night.
CodeMasters have said that they are around 9 months until ready for release, so unfortunately it looks like we won’t be able to get our hands on this until May’ish 2011.
Wao.. the trailer is just awesome. As a graphical showpiece, DiRT is an unbridled success. It also happens to be an entirely enjoyable rally racer.
Wow, Nice trailer, This is going to be awesome. Really I like it. Wanna buy!
I feel the first one was 10x better. It was all real off road racing and true rally cars and off road cars. Dirt 2 has this crap punk look to it like its some emo teen rally game designed by skate boarders. Its to bad these physics and graphics were wasted on this game.
I didn’t like the first one. It was hard and the load times were enormous, but this one looks much better. Will probably pick it up.
All right, what a nice beginning however i’ll have to look into that a tiny bit more. Will show you what more i’ve found.
