During an interview with The Times, the president of everything Playstation, Kaz Kirai, has given an expected release date for the Playstation 3 motion sensing controller that was announced at E3 this year. During the interview with The Times, he said that gamers should expect the new controller to be released some time in Spring 2010. He also said: “One of the things is that we just don’t want to put out the controller. We need great software that supports the controller at launch”. No doubt when the controller is released, a series of games will be released that are designed specifically for the controller, something very similar to the Wii Play or Wii Sports. Also, because third party developers…

Earlier this year, news and rumours were spread across the internet after it had been found that Blizzard, creators of the massively popular World of Warcraft game, had filed several trademark and patent applications for terms that all included the word “Cataclysm”. Well today, at BlizzCon, their true intentions for their “Cataclysm” project have been announced, and it comes in the form of a new expansion for the game. The new expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, was announced along with a large number of expected features during this year’s BlizzCon. Along with a number of other features, the new expansion will feature a new level cap of 85, which I am surprised about as all the other expansions have been…

Peter Molyneux announced today during the Microsoft conference that Fable 3 will be released sometime in 2010, however, “don’t expect it too early in 2010.” The new game is set 50 years after the events that take place in Fable 2 and you play as your character from Fable 2′s child, either a son or a daughter, in classic Fable style, you can decide which. Microsoft Increase Prise of Xbox Arcade Package

Some more news has popped up regarding the console price cuts. Back in July, it was reported that Microsoft and Sony were both planning price cuts for their consoles. Ever since then, not much has been done, although many rumours have been flying around. The biggest and most expected change to happen is that Microsoft would remove their Premium bundle from the market while also cutting some costs for the Elite bundle, and that Sony would be cutting the PS3 cost, and possible announcing a PS3 slim console. I’ts now appeared that on Microsoft’s part, they have started to make way for the changes. Microsoft have said to gaming retailers that they will be raising the price of the current…

What Is Lionhead Studios Planning?

Something strange has been going on over at the Lionhead website this week. I first came across it after a message was posted on Twitter with simply a link to the Lionhead website. On visiting the Lionhead website, I was greeted by a big black and white picture of Che Guevara and a very large number 6 next to his head. Underneath the image, was a quote from the guy himself, followed by a thumbs up and a thumbs down. When you click on the thumbs up, it takes you to the main Lionhead page with the word “Followers” within the URL string. Once again your are greeted with the large image of Che, the page also has a red…

In celebration of the new Demons of the Badlands downloadable content for the brilliant game, Red Faction: Guerilla that became available this week, THQ are holding a competition to win a Red Faction Xbox 360 console. To enter the competition, all you have to do is login to the THQ competition page and answer the question correctly. It’s as easy as that! Good luck to all who enter. The console being given away is extremely rare as only 10 of these specially painted consoles were ever made, making your winnings valuable, plus awesome looking. I’m not sure if the console is an Elite or a Premium, I would hope it’s an Elite. Within Red Faction: Guerilla, you can pretty much…

Europe Misses Out On Guitar Hero: Van Halen Offer

With the huge number of games already set for release within the upcoming months, it’s going to be tough for people to afford all of them, especially the ones that include bonus controllers. (cough cough, all of Activision’s). But yesterday there was some good news for gamers. Yesterday Activision announced that when you buy any copy of Guitar Hero 5, from any retailer, you would receive a code within the manual of the game for a free copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen prior to official release in December. When you get your copy of Guitar Hero 5, all you would have to do is sent off your code either by post or by entering the code online via the…

Game Get Exclusive Tony Hawk Ride Controller

Written by Scrooby on 6th August, 2009

At E3 this year, the first game that was announced was the next Tony Hawks game, Tony Hawk: Ride, and it looked to revolutionise skating games. The reason why is because it’s the first skating game to come with it’s very own controller. Surprise surprise the game is published by Activision, it seems that every game they release is coming out with a controller, but I won’t complain too much. The controller is quite similar to a Wii balance board, it’s simply in the shape of a skateboard. All you have to do to control your in-game character is stand on the board, to move you push on the ground like you would with a normal skateboard and sensors in…
