Some eager Xbox 360 Kinect owners that have already got their hands on the controller-less gaming have discovered a great feature of the new accessory for the Xbox 360. When you buy the Kinect system, not only do you get controller-less gaming, but you also get an amazing light show. Admittedly, you need some night vision goggles to view this amazing scene, but it’s still pretty awesome. When viewing the room you’ve got Kinect set up in using a set of night vision goggles, the ones bundled with the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition will work a treat, you get an amazing light show of pinpoint sensors created by the Kinect’s obsidian eye. You’ve finally got a good use for those…

I saw this advert on the TV yesterday and just had to stick it on the site, it’s great. The advert is to promote the launch of new Currys and PC World megastores which are opening in the UK. Watch what unfolds when R2-D2 and C-3PO discover one of these brand new stores! It says on the Dixons website (owner of both PC World and Currys) that this advert is part of a brand new marketing campaign, so hopefully we’ll see more of the robotic fair soon.

Rock Band Broken Bass Pedal

It happened, my Rock Band pass drum pedal snapped, which is just a little bit of a pain. It’s mainly a pain because I bought it from Zavvi and since coming out of administration, the amount of stores they have is slightly lacking, especially in the area I live, not even sure they would give me a replacement, but I might as well try. If getting a replacement from Zavvi doesn’t work, looks like I will have to buy a new one from one of the various Rock Band bass pedal makers. There are some great replacement bass drum pedals out there that work for all of the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games, plus they are made of metal,…

OnLive Announced at GDC

A new type of gaming has been announced at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). The OnLive service is a new type of gaming service which allows you to play your favorite games over the internet, saving you the shelf and hard drive space. To play these games you simply need one of two things, either a browser plug-in or a cheap device called the MicroConsole to allow you to stream these games over your internet from the OnLive servers. This seems to be a really good idea, but when you think about it, the amount of downfalls, in my opinion, are not really worth it. At the GDC people had the chance to try out this new service in a…

The world’s thinnest TV goes on sale this week, the Sony Bravia ZX1. At only 9.9mm thick, this is the thinnest TV for sale in the world. The secret to bread thick TV is a new technology which Sony call, Edge LED. Instead of using a back light that is placed behind the screen, like current LCD TVs, Edge LED uses LED lights around the sides of the TV, saving alot of space. It gets better, the TV comes with a separate media receiver which connects to all of your HD devices including Blu-Ray Players and Playstation 3′s, it then sends the signals through to the TV, allowing you to get crystal clear films, games and TV without the wires….
