When I first heard about Borderlands, I didn’t really think that much about it. It looked like another average game that I didn’t really need but after a slow month for games I decided to use my valuable game reward points to buy it and im afraid, I was right, it was average. The story of the game is that you are one of four mercenaries, Siren, Soldier, Hunter and Berserker. You have come to the planet Pandora in search of an alien vault which is said to contain alien technology. Now onto the game play. At the start of the game, you chose one of the classes that you level up during the course of the game. The class...

As a fan of Batman, I was exited when I first heard there was a new game coming out, its been years since we have had a actual Batman game and this game does not disappoint. The last game that was released about the Batman series was the Lego Batman game, which, although it’s a great game, it’s not quite the same as a proper Batman game. The story of the game is based entirely around the Arkham Asylum. It starts by Batman apprehending Joker after he attacks the mayor’s office, he then returns the Joker back to Arkham. Once inside Arkham, the Joker springs his trap and with the help of Harley Quinn, he escapes and disappears into the maze that is Arkham Asylum. Your...

When I first heard about the new Transformers game I was unsure after the epic failure of the first game. But as a huge fan of the films I saw the second film at the first showing and after watching the film and seeing how amazing it was, I decided to buy the game. But after playing the game I realised it is actually an alright game. The game begins with you choosing a side, you can choose the Decepticons or the Autobots. Personally I choose to play as the Autobots. You then move onto a simple tutorial level in which you play as Bumblebee and learn how to pull of the different techniques. The controls I found were simple enough to get...

When I first saw that there was a new Red Faction game coming out I was unsure; I found them fun but they were never really that good of a game. However, one thing that they do get right is blowing stuff up, which is basically what this game is full of. The game begins with Alec Mason ( That’s you ) arriving on Mars to do some work and then obviously with in the first 5 minutes you see your brother get killed by those damn Earth Defence Force (EDF). So you decide to raise some hell for those EDF by joining the Red Faction Guerilla unit. The game is set in an open world setting with several different sections. To complete each section you must start...

As a huge fan I have been playing the games since Resident Evil for the PS1, I have seen the games evolve with the times and become a huge franchise. So I couldn’t wait for the new Resident Evil game to come out so I could see what this one had to other and let me just say that it doesn’t disappoint. Now onto the game, the new Resident Evil follows the story of Chris Redfield and Sheva Aloma who are part of international agency known as the BSAA, they travel to Africa to capture a terrorist but in the process discover a more sinister plot in their search for the truth. In fairness the new Resident Evil game is no longer scary, it’s more of an action game but an amazing one at that. This...

After hearing about the upcoming release of a new Street Fighter game, I was not sure if it could contend with other next-gen fighting titles such as Dead or Alive. After buying the game on Friday I soon released that not only does it compete, but it’s the best. When you first put the game in, you get this kick ass opening movie which looks amazing, plus, if you have a HDTV, this scene deserves to be treasured and watched every time you switch on the game. Now onto the game, this new street-fighter game come with many old characters such as Ken and Ryu. However, there are also several new characters such as Crimson Viper. Although the characters are great, with only a few different game...

When I first heard that there was a new Prince of Persia on the way I was excited after being a huge fan of the original Prince of Persia trilogy. I wanted to see what the next gen one would be like and i am sorry to say but I am extremely disappointed. That doesn’t mean that this is a bad game its actually an alright game. The new story is not that complex; you are fighting to keep the god of darkness banished. To do this you travel around the world banishing the darkness one section at a time. By the end of the game it gets very repetitive and boring. You also feel no real connection to the characters in this game. Now to the good part, the game-play. The acrobatics in this game...
