Last week’s top 40 games chart has shown that crime really does pay. Chart-Track has released the top 40 gaming chart for the week ending September 4th and for a second week in a row, the top spot has gone to the recently released Mafia II. Despite a 23% reduction in sales since the previous week, which was the greatest fall of all the top 10 selling games, Mafia II publisher Take-Two still expects the game to continue bringing in the big bucks for some time to come. With the Mafia II first DLC pack being released for Xbox 360 and PC tomorrow, it looks like Take-Two will be getting another money boost over the next few days but with…
After several weeks without any decent games being released in June/July, I was really pleased to see Mafia II being released so not buying it was out of the question really, and to be honest, I’m glad I did buy it. In the week since the game was released, I have completed the game and have started playing through it again and although I know the storyline from the first run through, it still entertains me and keeps me gripped. The American dream… In the game you play as Vito Scaletta, son of a Sicilian family who moved to America when he was a boy. While growing up you become friends with Joe Barbaro which leads to the pair of…
Take-Two’s crime based game, Mafia II, was released last week and although it hasn’t been out long, the game is already getting it’s downloadable content pack. The new pack will be titled “The Betrayal of Jimmy” and will be released on the Xbox 360 and PC on September 7th. As for Playstation 3 gamers, well they’ve already had been able to get a early taster of the add-on because the pack was released the same day as the actual game. In-fact, if you bought a new or used copy of Mafia II for the Playstation 3, you received the download pack for free. Unfortunately for Xbox 360 and PC gamers, when the pack is released next week, they will have…
Microsoft have announced today that they are releasing a brand new Xbox 360 controller. The new controller is going to be released in a matt silver with with grey buttons, rather than the original green, red, yellow and blue. The analogue sticks have also changed, each having a more exaggerated concave shape. That’s not all the changes though. The biggest changes come to the D-pad which transforms from the existing d-pad, which is more of a flush disc, to a popped out plus sign. To make this simple change, all you have to do is rotate the d-pad clockwise 90 degrees. You may wonder, what’s the point, it just does the same thing. However, Microsoft have a few suggestions on…
Microsoft have announced today, via Major Nelson, that the prices for the Xbox Live service will be going up on 1st November 2010. The price updates are going to take effect in the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico and Canada. The biggest rises go to the United States where all their subscriptions are being increased. The one month subscription will go from $7.99 to $9.99, the 3 month subscription will go from $19.99 to $24.99. The biggest rise comes to the annual subscription which is increasing by $10, making the new price (as of November 1st) $59.99. The United Kingdom, Mexico and Canada have got off pretty lightly, only the 1 month subscription price will be increasing. In the United…
