Hi I'm Dan (aka Scrooby). I'm an 18 year old gamer and full time Web Developer for FreshEgg. Most of gaming tends to be on the Xbox 360 mainly because I love the achievement system. My favourite games are mainly FPS games, Halo, Gears of War and Call of Duty are particular favourites. However, I'll play pretty much all genres of games, anything from Guitar Hero 5 to Lego Harry Potter, they're all great!

To match the upcoming release of Kinect for the Xbox 360, Microsoft’s controller-less gaming, the Xbox Live website has been given a complete face lift, bringing it into the age of Kinect. The new, clean, design is a massive improvement on what they had in the past, which had been becoming increasingly clunky. I for one believe this should have happened a long time ago. The way they’ve used in on the new site allows you to view your most recently active Xbox Live friends, along with how many are online, how…

Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that Gears of War 3′s release date was being pushed back from April 2011, to an undisclosed date during the holiday season 2011. Well today, to fill the void between April and the new release date, Microsoft announced that a public multiplayer beta will be made available in 2011. We plan to host a public multiplayer beta for Gears of War 3 in 2011 featuring dedicated servers. This public beta should hopefully mean that the game is even better when released as they will have the time to make any improvements based on gamer feedback. Lots to look forward to next year!
